Happy Halloween! I came across some creative and somewhat spooky Essential Artists Bottles from 1800 Tequila that would be awesome for celebrating tonight.

Eleven up and coming artists contributed their designs to create these limited-edition masterpieces – with one celebrity bottle designed by Shepard Fairey’s Studio Number One. The grand prize winner was Steven Wilson whose bottle is front and center in the picture.

My favorite is Chad Shore’s (featuring the woman with dark hair, fifth from right).

View the whole collection here. Which is your favorite?

My colleagues surprised me on my birthday last spring with a cupcake party!

These little works of art come from Cupcake Cafe in Manhattan.

You could choose from chocolate cake with chocolate icing, vanilla cake with chocolate icing, vanilla cake with chocolate icing and vanilla cake with vanilla icing. Most people don’t notice if a batch of cupcakes has one combination missing, but I do. I feel a deep sense of calm with a complete set.

Maybe I should say frosting in place of icing? I’m not really sure. This stuff was really creamy, not sugary.

I’m glad I snapped a photo because let’s just say they didn’t live long.

Ann Clark Ltd. is one of the leading cookie cutter companies in the United States with an impressive line of cookie cutters that are made in Vermont and sold around the world. Their charming motto is “Make More Cookies.” Okay!

They seem to have thought of everything: from acorns and airplanes to the state of Texas and a watering can, Ann Clark probably has whatever hobby or inside joke you aim to shape your cookies into.

I tried out a few of her cutters (thanks, Elizabeth!) and found them to be high quality. The metal is well manufactured, staying solid and level as you push it into the dough. The edges are sharp enough to aid you but not too sharp to use with children.

Reasonably priced at about $3.99, each cutter comes nicely packaged with a recipe attached. It makes a very nice gift for children and adults alike, for any holiday or “just because.”

The company also has a blog- check it out!
